 I am still editing my project. I have decided to add the audio and then the clips one at a time. I adjusted it to fit the time constraints. I have also begun to add titles. One thing I noticed is that the titles can sometimes make the background of the scene seem unfocused. I have been searching for a way to remedy that, but have yet to find a solution. I also have been trying to evaluate the timing of the editing. I want to make sure it does not seem super choppy or rushed. After making adjustments to the effects, I watch what I have. Then I continue to make adjustments. Spacing plays a huge part in this. If I am relying simply on cuts then spacing is what determines whether the cut is a blink or an extended black screen. If I add transitions such as a fade or dissolve, it adds time to the project. So I have been trying to minimize the usage of these unless I feel they are absolutely necessary. An aspect of viewing and putting together the clips that I noticed is that I am able to look at myself and my work in front of the camera from what feels to be an outside perspective.  Through editing I am allowed to aid in the naturality of the scenes by adding or taking away unnecessary moments. So in a way I am reflecting on my process, while at the same time going through it.  My goal is to be done by Thursday night and then reflect on my work before uploading the final piece Friday morning.  Today I went over the footage that I have. Since all of the shots had more than one take I wanted to thoroughly analyze each one on their own. First I looked at each take separately. Then I looked at each take when compared to the others. After choosing the ones I personally felt were the best I went to my family to ask their opinion. After hearing what they had to say, I then went to a few of my peers to ask their thoughts. My plan was to obtain feedback in order to make a good decision on which takes I should upload into the editor. Since uploading the footage to the computer can be quite the process I wanted to be sure I would not have to go back and replace any clips with another. I figure if that were to happen it would make editing more tedious.  I have been working on the last tidbit of editing. An obstacle occurred when my editing software crashed. It refused to reopen so I had to seek other means of regaining the work I had already done. I had to completely switch over to a different computer and relocate my footage in order to begin editing again. Since the names of the files were different on each computer I had to refer back to the files on the first one in order to decide which one needed to be added into the locate asset slot on my reopened editing software. Some files were created while in the software. Due to this, when saved they were not compatible for opening on the other computer. Ultimately I had to recreate them. However, that took little time so I quickly was back at the point I had planned to continue from. All of them were strictly audio anyway.   Props My main prop will be an unopened bottle of water. Other props that may be used are water. Costume I am debating on whether or not I would like to use an actor for at least one shot. If I do choose to use an actor then their costume will be simple. Shorts, t-shirt, running shoes,  or some other type of sports attire. However, if I do not then there would be no actor in my commercial and therefore no costume anyone needs to wear. Schedule On 10/22/20: I researched conventions and codes of bottled water commercials. On 10/23/20: I established props, costume, schedule, location list, and backup plan. On 10/25/2020: I will begin creating the storyboard for the commercial and it will be done by or before 10/27/20.
