What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? What connotations do these images carry?

Images that are prioritized in the movie are images that showcase why the rules are important. Also images that showcase the current state of the world due to the zombies. These images carry negative connotations because they show how everything is essentially messed up but it is presented in a comedic way.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?

The film establishes a feeling of the genre from the outset by presenting a setting and scenes that let you know their will be action and presenting a voiceover that lets you know there will be comedy.

What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?

The film immediately grabs the attention of the its target audience (action and comedy) by including action in the opening sequence along with comedy (with the monologue).

How has technology been used effectively?

Technology specifically the use of a hand-held camera at the beginning was effective because it allowed the opening to start with a bang. The use of mid-shots and wide shots effectively show the action taking place in the opening. The editing is just fast enough to keep the audience engaged when the screen jumps from one person to another.
