 I did not do much filming this week besides some takes I did on Tuesday. On Tuesday, I skipped around and did some shots that did not contain any characters in frame. Some of these shots will have titles on them. However, others are more to establish a change in setting. I did this because it was quick and easy. I could control the angle of the camera and strictly be the director when doing takes for those moments. Whereas with others I would be both the director and the actor.  Even though they were simpler I still made sure to do more than one take in order to compare. Being constantly in control of the camera helped, as I did not have to pause in the middle of the takes to adjust. And I also was able to see where exactly the camera was pointing instead of guessing.  For some takes I considered my lighting options and shot each with different lighting to compare. I think this was good for me because it helps me see how lighting can effect the vibes a scene has. Or it can affect whether the scene looks like it was shot during the afternoon or at night or even in the morning. After doing this I quickly cleaned up my set up. The scenes took place in different locations throughout my house. In order to save time I would move from one location to the next. And then when I finished I would go back through each place I had been and clean up any mess I created. Currently I am thinking about future filming and when it will take place. Since Spring Break is approaching I am considering doing some filming in my free time, but I am not completely sure I will.  Today I went over the footage that I have. Since all of the shots had more than one take I wanted to thoroughly analyze each one on their own. First I looked at each take separately. Then I looked at each take when compared to the others. After choosing the ones I personally felt were the best I went to my family to ask their opinion. After hearing what they had to say, I then went to a few of my peers to ask their thoughts. My plan was to obtain feedback in order to make a good decision on which takes I should upload into the editor. Since uploading the footage to the computer can be quite the process I wanted to be sure I would not have to go back and replace any clips with another. I figure if that were to happen it would make editing more tedious.  I have been working on the last tidbit of editing. An obstacle occurred when my editing software crashed. It refused to reopen so I had to seek other means of regaining the work I had already done. I had to completely switch over to a different computer and relocate my footage in order to begin editing again. Since the names of the files were different on each computer I had to refer back to the files on the first one in order to decide which one needed to be added into the locate asset slot on my reopened editing software. Some files were created while in the software. Due to this, when saved they were not compatible for opening on the other computer. Ultimately I had to recreate them. However, that took little time so I quickly was back at the point I had planned to continue from. All of them were strictly audio anyway.   Props My main prop will be an unopened bottle of water. Other props that may be used are water. Costume I am debating on whether or not I would like to use an actor for at least one shot. If I do choose to use an actor then their costume will be simple. Shorts, t-shirt, running shoes,  or some other type of sports attire. However, if I do not then there would be no actor in my commercial and therefore no costume anyone needs to wear. Schedule On 10/22/20: I researched conventions and codes of bottled water commercials. On 10/23/20: I established props, costume, schedule, location list, and backup plan. On 10/25/2020: I will begin creating the storyboard for the commercial and it will be done by or before 10/27/20.
