Production Blog

I reshot the scene from my last blog. This time before shooting I did multiple things. First, I set up my location. I began by rearranging my living room. I had to change the location of my desktop computer and vase because it blocked the view of the camera. I then set up my equipment. I placed the camera on the table to make up for the lack of height. I then angled it to point towards where I would be and zoomed in a little to make me the focal point of the camera. After this I then set up my lighting. The day prior I purchased more lights but they were different from the others. The others were attachable to the camera. The new one is only attachable to the wall. So instead of placing the other lights I had on the camera, I used the new ones and attached them to the wall the camera was not facing. This time the top of the tripod did not give out. This is because there was not an abundance of weight at the top that could not be supported by the bottom. I then proceeded to do different takes for an hour or so. But then I had to stop because I had other obligations to attend to. I think I am going to make it a general rule of thumb to spend at least two days for each scene (one hour for each day) before moving on to the next. For now I will leave you with a picture of the new lights I used.
