I reshot the previous scene I attempted to shoot. Overall the process went well. I started by first positioning the tripod on top of two baskets stacked together. I then checked the angle of the camera and confirmed that it was positioned to my liking. And then I attached the lighting fixture. At first it seemed to be working well until I looked at the camera in the middle of a take and noticed that the camera was moving. I began to notice that when I set the camera up on the tripod to film it eventually swerves downward. I attempted to readjust it multiple times. But no matter the position I placed it in the tripod still swerved. Sometimes to the point where the camera completely disconnected from the tripod and and the light attachment disconnected from the camera. In an attempt to work around this I detached the light fixture from the camera and decided to see if it would still do the same thing without the added weight. The tripod readjusted a bit but it did not swerve like it did the previous times so I decided to just go with it. I reshot the scene and it turned out relatively well. The only thing that was missing was the lighting I wanted. I think I might just move on to shoot another scene and then return to this one again. I am doing this because I want to make progress and then try to perfect it rather than remain stagnant in an attempt to be perfect my first few tries. But I will definitely be getting alternative lighting options or maybe try to find something that could help secure the weight at the top of the tripod. In the meantime, I will continue on with filming. The next scene will most likely be filmed at some point during the weekend. For now I will leave you with a photo.
