Filming and Editing Blog
I began filming today. However, upon making my way to what I consider to be my first location I noticed that there were certain objects that needed to be moved around in order to make room for the tripod and the camera angle I had to rearrange various things. After rearranging the area I tried to do a couple of takes but none of them were to my satisfactory. I noticed that the tripod was a little too short to get the angle I wanted and decided to find something I can balance it on in order to try again tomorrow. As for the takes I did, I placed them in an labelled album in order to compare them to the ones I will do tomorrow. With the rest of my time, I decided to work on another aspect of my project. I decided to do some music searching in order to find the song or songs I wish to use in my sequence. Prior to searching I already knew that I want the music to be upbeat or funky. This is because I want to give my sequence a cheerful and goofy feel. And I know that slow songs do not always accomplish that unless used in a very particular way. I found a few that I think can work and got to work on contacting the artists. My hopes are that they respond within the next week or two. I think so far my biggest concern is the music aspect. This is because if the artists do not respond in an adequate amount of time then I will have to make other arrangements. This could ultimately slow me down. But for now I will try to focus on the filming aspect and then make music my top priority when I begin the editing side of things. For now when it comes to filming I think that I need to focus on allocating time to each aspect that goes into it. The prepping such as make-up and wardrobe along with the rearranging and lighting if needed. Today I noticed that I tried to jump right in before checking everything off and although it did not completely hinder me it definitely did not make things super smooth either. For now I will leave you with a cover of one of the songs I have in my top 3 that I want to use.
