Title Research: Watch the Titles Website

Upon entering the site I began to navigate it by clicking on the options at the top. After establishing where they led to I then attempted to find title sequences that interest me and could help me gain knowledge. The ones I stumbled upon made it clear just how complex the process of a title sequence can be. The usage of real life elements and tech such as editing software along with 3-D software make just about anything possible. Some title sequences are completely software made, without any background scenes that include real life. I was particularly intrigued by these because they seemed to be on a whole other level from the others. They did not go into in-depth detail. However, it was enough to grasp how they did it in a general sense. I learned that you can take something and scan it into the software and then build on it from there. This intrigued me greatly. Another thing I learned was that the title sequence when it comes to storyboarding can constantly change. After reading interviews, I saw that in many of them the beginning idea was never completely the final product. This could be credited to the various people who had a say in the title sequence such as the director, the designers, and editors. Collaborative effort seemed to be the key to success. The title sequences went through extensive evaluation constantly. And sometime if the script changed so did the title sequence. I feel that I have learned more from this sight when it comes to the process. However, the in-depth details of the process are still unclear. That requires further research. I will aim to continue to learn more.
