Starting the Final Task
Hi, I am Michal Pringle. I am a senior. I attend Fort Lauderdale High School. For my final project, I have decided to work alone. Before making this decision I assessed what I knew what I could account for and what I could not. I already knew that I would have certain limitations. For example, when it comes to filming in a different location other than my home I would have to wait until the late afternoon to do so on weekdays. I also would be limited to filming for about an hour in the AM on days where I have school. However, I knew I could film afterschool in the afternoons, during the morning on Saturdays, or at any time on Sunday. If I were to do this with a group these limitations would most likely hinder our progress so I decided not to do so. I also took into account my own stance when it comes to group work. I know that I am not exactly a group person. Working with others can be difficult at times. I figured not having to deal with conflict or differing opinions other than my own would speed up the process of my work. Plus I also took into account the current situation that we are in. With the COVID-19 virus going around I knew that safety would be my top priority seeing as I am constantly around those who are immunocompromised. Something that was also taken into account was that I wanted to see what I could accomplish on my own. The thought of being in a group seemed iffy to me because I felt that it would not truly be from me but rather from a combined effort with others. I wanted to see if I could take what I have learned and apply it in order to produce a finished product that I like created solely by me. So that is what I plan on doing.
