Filming Part Two: Music Video
Over the course of the past two days I have been trying to get the "perfect" or at least a super decent one. Right now I am focusing on scene five after shooting scene six briefly before. My main concern is how much can be seen or how little. Since both shots are supposed to happen at night I have to be careful that there isn't too much darkness or too much light. And since the night sky isn't as vibrant with stars or the moon as it is in other places (it often looks like the daytime but simply dimmer) I have to be keen to catch it when I can in order to have lighting or I'll somehow have to use other means. For scene six, I went around various parts of my front and backyard or the sides of my house trying to catch the moon in action. It's supposed to be a slow, zoom in low angle shot of the night sky. Hopefully with the moon as a guest star. I did a couple of takes but none of them were super noteworthy. I plan on doing more over the weekend when I'll have more free time to work on filming retakes or other scenes. Eventually I decided to move on to scene five. I shot six then five because scene five requires me to sort of stay in one spot for a while and scene six seemed simpler to do because I had a wider range of motion. For scene five I sat in various places in my front lawn while facing the road. I wanted to get shots of the cars passing by. One thing that hindered me was that there were cars parked in front of my house which narrowed my view of the road from the various spots I attempted to shoot. I waited, hoping they would eventually move but they never did. I was out and about for about an hour. This isn't an uncommon occurrence so it did make me reconsider taking the shot there and instead finding a new place. I'll think on that more. But for now I'll leave a screenshot of a take I took while sitting in the doorway of my front door and not in the yard.
